Mongolian archers hit London target

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia: Mongolia NOC is delighted to announce that two archers, Mr. J. Gantugs and Mrs.B.Urantungalag, have qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. It will be the first time Mongolia has competed in the Olympic Games archery competition since Atlanta 1996. Mongolia NOC pledges to fight for archery medals in London and would like to thank the Incheon Metropolitan City and 2014 Incheon Asian Games Support Headquaters and Olympic Council of Asia for their joint programme Vision 2014, which benefited the Mongolian archers in the beautiful city and excellent venue alongside the Korean sharpshooters.

Also, Mongolia NOC thanks IAGOC 2014 for the warm hospitality and friendship during their stay in Incheon and for providing such a productive training environment and conditions. Mongolia NOC also thanks Olympic Solidarity for granting one athlete a London Olympic scholarship, and is delighted to have fulfilled the initial expectations by qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games.

“We spent the subsidy on the needs of the athlete and coach and reached this goal together,” said a statement from Mongolia NOC.
